Todd Chrisley has a positive update to share about his son, Chase, following his scary health concerns as documented in last fall's Lifetime series The Chrisleys: Back to Reality.

"Chase is doing amazing," Chrisley tells Entertainment Weekly, fresh off competing on The Masked Singer with wife Julie as the Croissants mask. "He is doing the best that he's done in forever. Everyone processes pain differently, and he processed his with alcohol. And so he went to rehab and he has followed his program and he works out with me every day. He's gained his weight back. He's in better shape than he's ever been."

He continues, "And it is the greatest blessing to be able to get up and work out with my son every day and to see that the light is back on, because Chase is the funniest child that I have. He is quick with his one-liners, and it's just such a blessing and a joy to be able to have him every day."

Todd and Julie, the leaders of the Chrisley real estate and reality TV empire, were sentenced to federal prison in 2022 on bank fraud and tax evasion charges, and pardoned by Donald Trump in May 2025. Their daughter, Savannah, who competed on TMS season 11 as the Afghan Hound mask, led the charge to obtain pardons for her parents.

The eight-episode docuseries Back to Reality followed the family's controversy and upheaval, from Todd and Julie's time in federal prison to eventually being pardoned, released, and returning home. Over the course of the series, which aired its finale in September, Chase opened up about a strange health problem he's been facing for years in which he "can't keep food down," causing him to run to the bathroom to vomit after some meals, and sometimes after only drinking water.

Chase's drinking problem is also identified as a major concern among several members of the family, including his sister, Savannah, who discussed her fear in episode 5 that "something's going to happen" to her brother. "It's very valid. Just in the way that he looks. Chase is not Chase. Like, it's literally a blank shell. You can tell in all the weight that he's lost and the rings around his eyes. He's not who I know as my brother," Savannah said, adding sadly, "I feel like I've already buried my brother."

The distance between brother and sister and the status of Chase's health was left somewhat up in the air by the end of the series. To that end, EW wanted to know if viewers can expect more of Back to Reality.

"That was a documentary that was just about what had happened," Todd clarifies. "Now the [new] family show will pick up and bring you back into our home."

He also teases several more family ventures. "So, our family is coming back to television — we've got the family show that's coming — then I'm doing a show in the U.K.," he tells EW. "Julie's got her cooking show. I'm doing a traveling food show with Chase, and then [Julie] and Savannah have a show that they're doing out of the country."
