Elisabeth Hasselbeck says she has repeatedly turned down offers to return to Survivor, including for Survivor 50
She cites not wanting to leave her kids and missing their activities as her main reason for declining

Elisabeth Hasselbeck is never going to tribal council again.
The Survivor alum, 48, placed fourth on season 2 of the show in 2001, but recently revealed that fans of the competition series shouldn't expect her to make a comeback any time soon.
Hasselbeck, who rejoined The View this week as a five-day guest co-host, discussed her decision to repeatedly turn down offers to return to the show during an appearance on The View's companion podcast, Behind the Table.
During the podcast, Hasselbeck answered a question from producer Brian Teta about whether or not she’s been asked back to Survivor.

"They have," Hasselbeck said, right before sharing her answer to them. "Solid no. Solid no, every single time."
When asked if Hasselbeck got the call for Survivor 50, she said, "I think, maybe, there was an indirect ask. I think I'd trained them to know [I'd say no]."

Her reasoning, she shared, was that she didn’t think she “could leave the kids.”

“I barely want to miss a [sports] game today that I know is going on," she said.
When asked if she would want to "skin a pig again" on the reality show, Hasselbeck laughed as she doubled down: "No, I can not!"

The television personality then reflected on flying to Australia to film Survivor season 2 over 20 years ago, noting that reality really set in once she was on the plane.
"I literally went in with two skills. I had nothing. I didn't camp, I didn't know anything," Hasselbeck said.
While in the air, she said she "took out my shoelaces and practiced tying knots. I had a book! I learned how to fish from a book and tie knots, which was our structural support [at camp]."
The latest season of Survivor saw the return of players from past seasons like Colby Donaldson, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, Mike White, Jonathan Young and Cirie Fields.
Survivor 50 is now on CBS and Paramount+.
