Shaquille O'Neal's daughter Me'Arah announced she's switching teams on April 27

Me'Arah played two seasons for the University of Florida Gators before entering the transfer portal on April 18

The college basketball star received support from her mom Shaunie and dad Shaquille, as well as Shaunie's husband Keion Henderson

Shaquille O'Neal's daughter Me'Arah announced a big move in her basketball career.

The 19-year-old daughter of the Los Angeles Lakers legend shared the news that she's transferring to the University of Kentucky in a post on Instagram on Monday, April 27.

Me'Arah's post included a photo of her in her new Kentucky blue uniform and a video of her doing media day content with Kentucky's head coach Kenny Brooks. In her caption, Me'Arah wrote, "I give thanks to you that I was marvelously set apart. Your works are wonderful—I know that very well. (‭‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139‬‬:‭14‬) #agtg✝️🙏🏽 #llkb #llgb #committed @kentuckywbb."

Shaquille, 54, liked and reposted his daughter's announcement on Instagram, and her mother, Shaunie Henderson, commented on the post with a gif that reads, "Let's Go!!!" Shaunie's husband, Pastor Keion Henderson, also left a handful of blue hearts in the comments.

Me'Arah played two seasons with the University of Florida Gators before her upcoming move to Kentucky. She had announced on April 18, that she's entering the transfer portal after making the "tough decision" to leave the Gators.

"Humbly, I just want to thank God for the journey and everything it’s taught me as I’ve navigated my collegiate career," she began in her farewell letter to the University of Florida.

"After a lot of thought and intentionality with my next steps, ive made the tough decision to enter the transfer portal. With faith and high expectations, Im ready to power forward and embrace wherever God takes me next," she continued.

Me'Arah thanked "the entire coaching staff and faculty" in Florida and said she'll "never forget the time, the conversations, and the memories we created," adding, "I don't take for granted the grace and care that was shown to me."

She continued, "To my teammates…what we built is something you can’t replace. I love y’all forever, no matter where life takes us. To Gator Nation, your love and support will always be with me. Truly grateful for every moment."

Me'Arah is the youngest of the former NBA star's six children. He is also a father to Taahirah, Myles, Shareef, Shaqir and Amirah.
