Priyanka Chopra Jonas is opening up about the joys of parenthood.

In a new May cover story for Vogue Arabia, published Wednesday, April 29, the actress, 43, said that her husband, Nick Jonas, is a “very hands-on” parent to their 4-year-old daughter, Malti, as she spoke about navigating family life together.

“My whole existence revolves around her, what time she has to go to school… She is the best thing I've accomplished in my life and represents the best of Nick and me,” said Chopra Jonas of their daughter, who turns five in May.

“My husband is very hands-on and even today — because I had to jump on this interview — he was the one preparing her for silly hair day at school. He did the cutest lopsided pigtails on her,” Chopra Jonas continued. “Our baby is like a magnet to us, and we run to her wherever we are in the world.”

Chopra Jonas and Jonas, 33, welcomed their first child, daughter Malti, via surrogate on Jan. 15, 2022 — four years after tying the knot in Chopra Jonas' home country of India.

Elsewhere in the interview, Chopra Jonas spoke about balancing cultures within the family while raising their daughter.

“I'm not a diplomat, I'm an actor, but I try to do my best and use my platform to give a good representation of my culture,” she told the fashion outlet. “I love India and I'm very, very Indian in my choice of food and so many other things. However, I need to have an understanding that our family is also partially American.”

Chopra Jonas' latest interview comes after Jonas shared a sweet photo on Instagram on April 8 of him spending quality time with their little girl while filming his upcoming holiday horror movie, White Elephant.

The singer was snapped kissing his 4-year-old daughter, whose face is covered by a red heart emoji, on the head as she gets ready for bed. "Week 1 in Vancouver ⚪️🐘," Jonas captioned his post.

Chopra Jonas recently shared on an episode of Amanda Hirsch's Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast that she and her husband have decided to keep their daughter Malti off social media to protect her anonymity.

"As she's growing older, we've started to also kind of just deflect a little bit," the actress said. "She moves around a lot, [so we] let her have as much anonymity as she can."
