Noah Kahan addressed an alleged incident where a fan defecated in public during his Philadelphia concert

At his Toronto show, Kahan humorously asked fans to pledge not to leave it on the floor

"If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao," he wrote on social media

If you need to use the restroom at a Noah Kahan show, get up and use the restroom.

That may seem like common sense to most people, but the "Stick Season" singer-songwriter had to remind fans during his Great Divide Tour stop on Sunday, June 18 at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium following an apparent incident in the crowd at his previous show at Philadelphia’s Citizens Bank Park two days prior.

Fans on social media shared footage of what appeared to be feces on the ground of Citizens Bank Park, claiming an attendee defecated during Kahan’s performance. The following day, Kahan addressed the situation on social media. "If you have to poop at a show please dear god just go to the bathroom lmao," he wrote.

"I’ve pooped my pants as much as the next 29 year old but you guys gotta understand there’s a venue worker out there with a 1000 yard stare after dealing with that," said Kahan, who added in a follow-up post, "I s--- myself onstage in Charlottesville but that’s because I am dedicated to my craft."

At his Toronto show two days after the alleged incident, Kahan asked fans to take a pledge: "I solemnly swear I will not s--- my pants and if I do, I won’t take it from my pants and put it on the floor," he said, according to videos of the moment on social media.

Kahan’s Great Divide Tour launched in June and continues through December with dates in North America, Europe and Oceania. The run of shows supports his latest album, The Great Divide, which came out in April and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Vermont-born star is not the only musician who’s experienced fans avoiding the bathroom during a show. In a recent interview with KISS FM UK, Olivia Rodrigo opened up about concertgoers wearing diapers in her crowds.

"I have been to certain concerts and certain festivals where people wear diapers so that they can be front row of the show," said Rodrigo, "and that's been an experience as a performer that I have smelled."
