Most people probably didn't come into 2026 with a Bingo card that had rap superstar Eminem and Delaware multiplatinum-selling country star Jimmie Allen showing up on Kid Rock's new gospel album.
Well – surprise, surprise.
Eminem (longtime friend of Rock and a fellow Michigander) and Milton native Allen (who appeared on the Fueled by 808's single in 2023, "No Limits," a tune that includes Kid Rock and pop singer Austin Mahone) are featured guests on Kid Rock's new studio album, "Halfway 2 Jesus." The project dropped Oct. 17.
Lil Wayne also joins the project on a song titled "7 Sins." (Wayne and Eminem both performed at Firefly Music Festival in Dover in 2018; Em was a headliner.)
Allen shared the "Halfway 2 Jesus" album cover on his Instagram page on Oct. 17. He's featured on the title track, "Halfway 2 Jesus," where he joins Kid Rock and Rascal Flatts singer Gary LeVox, and is cited in the songwriting credits.
The song begins with what sounds like bagpipes, then dives into a twangy acoustic guitar sound that sets the tone for the rest of a slower, folk-country groove Rock, LeVox and Allen sing on. The tune includes the lyrics: "I'm halfway to Jesus. I can feel love between us. You ain't right. I ain't wrong. No one walks this road alone: Halfway 2 Jesus."
Eminem calls Kid Rock ‘my brother’ on new 'Jesus' album

Eminem appears on the song "Heal My Faith." The song documents his long friendship with Rock.
Despite Kid Rock endorsing President Donald Trump (and B-Rabbit dissing Trump in a famous freestyle from the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards), Eminem makes it clear on the new song that Rock is "my brother, not my political enemy."
The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer also rapped: "The year was 1997 when I was grinding. A silver lining finally. A tiny light is shining. But it's so bright it's blinding. Yeah, The Viper Room release party for my CD, the 'Slim Shady E.P.,' Kid came to see me. I was nobody. He came to my show to see me. Was dope 'cause it seemed like a sign from Jehovah to me."
Kid Rock defends Jimmie Allen amid sex assault claims

Kid Rock teased the track listing for "Halfway 2 Jesus," including the album art, on social media Oct. 1.
Then Rolling Stone ran an Oct. 2 story, "Kid Rock enlists accused sexual assaulter for new Christian album.''
Rock shared a link to the Rolling Stone article on X and writing: "#FACTS."

The Rolling Stone article notes the new gospel project has a parental advisory label on it.
Eminem drops an F-bomb twice when he repeats the title of the song "F*** Off," a song from Kid Rock's 1998 album titled "Devil Without a Cause," on which Eminem appeared.
Why was Jimmie Allen accused of sexual lawsuit?
Allen's music career began to crumble virtually overnight in 2023 after two women (May 11 2023 and June 9, 2023), both identified in lawsuits as Jane Doe and Jane Doe 2 respectively, each filed suits against the singer claiming he sexually assaulted them.
The Grammy-nominated singer denied both claims and countersued them on July 13, 2023.
No criminal charges had been filed against Allen.
Allen and his first accuser, who was his former day-to-day manager (Jane Doe 1), agreed to drop their first suits in May 2024.
Why was Jimmie Allen ordered to pay almost $2M to accuser?
In spring 2026, Allen was ordered to pay close to $2 million in damages to Jane Doe 2, People reported.Federal judge Aleta A. Trauger ruled on June 18, 2026 that the "Best Shot” singer has to pay "punitive damages" and "compensatory damages" to a sexual assault accuser known as "Jane Doe 2," who brought a sexual assault lawsuit against him three years ago on June 9, 2023, according to the report.Because Allen didn't respond, it resulted in the court awarding Jane Doe 2 damages on the claims of "assault, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress," People reported. The 41-year-old Allen must pay the accuser almost $597,000 in compensatory damages, plus an estimated $1.2 million in "punitive damages," according to the report. The federal judge mentioned that the “reprehensibility” of Allen's alleged actions was “severe,” People reported. “The evidence shows that Mr. Allen intentionally and surreptitiously filmed his sexual encounter with plaintiff without her consent, and that he ejaculated inside of plaintiff without wearing a condom when plaintiff did not consent to him doing so and asked him not to do so,” the court filing read. “These intentional acts caused plaintiff to suffer extreme emotional distress and trauma.”
Dolly Parton supported Jimmie Allen amid allegations, he said
The late legendary country star Dolly Parton stood by Allen during after two women accused him of sexual assault in 2023, he said on "That Nashville Girl" podcast, as reported by Whiskeyriff.com.
“Dolly called me that day. We talked for a long time, and then she called me every day for the next three months and then even after that she called me at least once a week to check on me," Allen told the website.
New move made by Jimmie Allen before Kid Rock album

Allen's Delaware fans base remains strong and he headlined the Smyrna at Night Festival in downtown Smyrna in June.
At the top of the year, Allen teamed up with former NFL star Adam "Pacman" Jones and released a music video on YouTube for their rap-country single "Drop It Like A Tailgate."
On Oct. 15, he announced on IG that he signed with SixOneFive Agency in Nashville for booking representation.
