Kate Middleton dished about her culinary preferences at her latest royal outing.

On March 5, the Princess of Wales, 44, shared the scoop at Bobby's, a family-run Indian restaurant on Leicester's iconic "Golden Mile." Princess Kate visited Leicester to celebrate the culture, community and heritage of the British Indian community there, following the Hindu festival of Holi on March 4.

During her stop at Bobby's, a family-run restaurant named after the award-winning 1973 Bollywood film, Kate asked if a treat she was going to try was "sweet or savory" in a video shared to X by royal editor Rebecca English of the Daily Mail.

The Princess of Wales then checked out another confection, said she was "okay with spice" and took a bite as she sat with the restaurant's owners, Dharmesh and Enna Lakhani.

"Mmm. Is this coriander?" the royal remarked. "I love coriander and chili."

While cilantro and coriander are different terms for the same plant, cilantro is used to refer to the fresh herb, while coriander is typically used for the spice.

In another tidbit about what she ate at Bobby's, Hello! magazine reported that Princess Kate declined to add sugar to her tea.

The Princess of Wales, who knows her way around the kitchen at home, previously revealed that she has a higher tolerance for spice than her husband, Prince William.

During a visit with Prince William to London's Aga Khan Culture Centre in October 2019, Princess Kate revealed that she often cooks curry at home. The royal mom said that she prepares a mild version for her children — Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7 — plus a spicier one for her and William. However, the royal mom mentioned that one of the kids can take the heat.

“It’s so hard cooking curry with the family, though. The children have a portion with no spice, yours is medium," she told William then. “And I quite like it hot.”

"Charlotte is pretty good with heat," she added about their daughter.

William and Kate made that engagement before their royal tour of Pakistan, where William also mentioned that heat was not his ideal food factor.

“Me and heat, not so good. I love spice but not heat," he said at the time.

It's no surprise that Princess Kate is a pro at home-cooked curry, as she and Prince William revealed in a 2017 BBC interview that they like to unwind by ordering curry takeout while in their “comfy clothes.”
