Johnny Knoxville is sharing that Brad Pitt agreed to a spontaneous kidnapping prank outside Pink's Hot Dogs in Los Angeles for his 2000s show Jackass
The prank aired in Season 3, Episode 8 of Jackass alongside a gorilla-themed sketch featuring Pitt in disguise
Co-creator Jeff Tremaine said Pitt enthusiastically participated without hesitation or making any phone calls
Jackass star Johnny Knoxville is sharing the behind-the-scenes details of the 2011 episode in which Brad Pitt appeared anonymously
In a video shared by the , Knoxville says the plan was "to shoot a bit with him called 'Night Monkeys,' where everyone dresses up as a gorilla, does silly stuff around town, and we just have him lift his head at the end."
"But while they were waiting for me to get done with another bit, Jeff [Tremaine] goes, 'Hey, can we kidnap you in front of Pink's Hot Dogs?' He said, "Yeah,' " Knoxville said.
That episode — in which Pitt, now 62, appears to have been kidnapped in front of the iconic Los Angeles restaurant — aired in Season 3, Episode 8 of the MTV show.

Tremaine, who co-created and directed the show, added: "He said, 'Sure.' And we just didn't wait. He didn't make one phone call. He just said yes. And we got in the van and did it. It was the good old days where we fit it all in one day."

"And he loved it," added fellow Jackass star Chris Pontius.
The gorilla sketch was also filmed, Knoxville noted, saying, "It aired on TV. It just kind of got overshadowed. Kind of dumb to have Brad Pitt with a mask on the whole time. Like what's the point? But we're kind of dumb."

The original Jackass television series aired on MTV for three seasons, from 2000 to 2002. Following the conclusion of the show on TV, the series expanded into a franchise of feature films, beginning with 2002's Jackass: The Movie.
The final installment, Jackass: Best and Last, will release on June 26.
In February, Knoxville confirmed the new movie “will be the last one,” tellingRolling Stone, “This is the natural place to end. So it's going to be absolutely awful."
