How Heated Rivalry’s Connor Storrie Set a New Jewelry Trend on the Actor Awards Red Carpet

Some wondered how Connor Storrie would make it to the Actor Awards tonight after hosting SNL-and going to the after party in NYC. (An early morning flight to LA seemed to do the trick). Last week, Actor Awards showrunner and executive producer Jon Brockett confirmed Storrie’s involvement: “I’m not going to lie, we will be using him on the show,” Brockett told Hello.
And then, what would he wear? The star of Heated Rivalry stayed loyal. He wore a Tiffany & Co Bird on a Rock brooch to the Golden Globes, and the house’s modern classic HardWear collection for hosting duties last night, and tonight, it was Tiffany & Co. diamonds, including a Schlumberger gold and diamond ring and an evening watch. But there was still a surprise.

Brooches have become a mainstay on the lapels of men on the red carpet. There is rarely an awards show without several standout pieces pinned to tuxedo satin. Sometimes the brooch is worn classically, sometimes in multiple, sometimes creatively placed, at the center of a bow tie for example. Necklaces, however, are a more surprising choice. But who better to offer the unexpected than this year’s breakout star? Storrie wore a necklace from the Tiffany Victoria collection which combines marquise and round brilliant diamonds. The design is classic but Storrie wore it his way-under a suit and without a shirt, diamonds against skin. The necklace was clearly visible-creating an unmissable statement. It is designed to evoke flowers and vines, presumably ones that grow somewhere near a cottage…
