George Clooney's kids are starting to understand what he does for a living.
While chatting with PEOPLE at the 51st Chaplin Award Gala, where he received the Chaplin Award in recognition of his contributions to film, the Jay Kelly star, 64, opened up about which of his own movies he'll watch if he sees it on television.
Clooney, who's a dad to twins Alexander and Ella, 8, shared that while it's sometimes "hard to watch movies" from when he was younger, he finds himself watching one in particular with his children.
"It's a weird thing. As you get older, it's hard to watch movies when you were younger because you're like, holy s--t, that doesn't even look like me anymore," he tells PEOPLE. "I find that I'm watching, because I've got 8-year-olds, Fantastic Mr. Fox, which is a little easier because it's not really me, it's just my voice."
"That's kind of fun because the kids are slowly figuring out what I do for a living, you know?" he adds. "But the rest of it, I find it, it's easier ... Listen, it's hard because I tend to not want to look back. But, now that I'm gonna be 65 in a week, looking forward's a lot shorter view, you know what I mean? So, you know, maybe I'll look back later."

The actor shares his twins with wife Amal Clooney, welcoming them in June 2017, following their Italian wedding in 2014. Elsewhere on the carpet, the doting dad shared with Extra that he gets "messed up" having to celebrate two Mother's Days since living in Europe.
"No, because in Europe, Mother's Day is like a month earlier, so you get messed up. You got like two Mother's Days," he told the outlet. "It's a lot of work."
Asked if he celebrates both, Clooney replied, "Yeah, I have to."

The ER alum, whose birthday falls right before Mother's Day on May 6, also told Extra how it was "easier" celebrating his birthday before he was married with children. However, he said that it's always a "fun time," sharing who he intends to spend his special day with.
"Well, it was easier before, you know, I was married and had children," he said. "It's a fun time. We'll have a really good time with the kids."

Back in January, Clooney spoke with W. Magazine about his twins, revealing whether they are big fans of Halloween. During the conversation, Clooney revealed that his son went as Batman last year and shared how that decision led to them watching his 1997 film Batman & Robin.
"Halloween's a big holiday. My son went as Batman. He hadn't seen Batman yet," Clooney said of his 1997 film Batman & Robin. "I always say to him, 'You know I was Batman.' He's always like, 'No.'"
"I don't know that he knew how profound it was when he said I wasn't Batman. A couple of weeks ago, I finally showed it to him," continued the dad of two. "It wasn't great for grown-ups, but it's great for 8-year-olds, so he loved it."
As for his daughter Ella, Clooney shared that she prefers to spookier characters over a princess.
"My daughter, meanwhile, went as a witch," he revealed. "She doesn't like all the princess stuff. She likes to be the evil witch."
