Ed Sheeran is facing off against Chris Hemsworth.

On Thursday, Feb. 26, Hemsworth, 42, posted an Instagram video of himself and the four-time Grammy winner, 35, hanging out together — and battling it out over an arm wrestling match.

In their first go around, Hemsworth seems to be struggling as Sheeran laughs through the match, and then tells Hemsworth, “Do it properly. Go on, go on. He can’t.”

Sheeran comes out victorious and then offers to battle it out with the other hand. In the second match, through their laughter, Hemsworth takes Sheeran down to such a degree that Sheeran begins sliding in his place, trying to hold his own.

The cheeky arm-wrestling match emerged from comic book artist Wayne Nichols’ artwork depicting Sheeran battling it out with Hemsworth’s famed Marvel character, Thor. In the photo, Thor is carrying his signature hammer and Sheeran has his guitar in his hand.

The two celebrities then reenacted for fans ahead of Sheeran kicking off his Loop Tour at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne on Feb. 26.

Nichols posted an Instagram video showcasing how he created the poster, which will be placed at the Marvel Stadium during Sheeran’s run.

“Ragnarok and Roll! I had an absolute blast creating artwork for this epic team-up between the God of Thunder and Ed Sheeran,” he wrote.

Ahead of Sheeran’s tour beginning, he shared in November 2025 that he enjoys touring and has never viewed it as an “obligation.”

“I really enjoy my career,” he told host Josh Scherer on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals. “I love touring, I love songwriting. Touring has gotten to a point now, because of where my career’s at, that it can fit around my family and I can dictate what I do.”

He shares daughters, Lyra, 5, and Jupiter, 3, with wife, Cherry Seaborn.

"So if I’m like, ‘I only want to play Saturdays,’ that’s what I do,” he continued. “If I want to play Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I can do that as well. But if that feels like too much, then I’ll just say, ‘I just want to play Saturdays.' And I think being at a stage in my career where my family life takes precedent and I can do all that as well — it’s kind of the perfect balance."
