Dua Lipa’s Gives the LBD a Glittering Naked Twist for Date Night With Callum Turner

Dua Lipa attended the Metropolitan Opera’s debut of Lincoln in the Bardo alongside her husband Callum Turner.
She wore a black naked dress from Ferragamo’s spring/summer 2027 collection.
Lipa paired it with matching satin slides.
A night at the opera calls for the most fabulous of ensembles, and it doesn’t hurt to be amid good company either. On October 19, Dua Lipa swapped her usual date night locations (read: somewhere luxurious abroad) for something a bit more intimate.
Walking hand in hand with her husband, Callum Turner, the Grammy Award-winning singer attended the Metropolitan Opera’s debut of Lincoln in the Bardo in New York City. Naturally, the two came prepared to celebrate the occasion with all the glitz and glamour it deserved. Lipa, for her part, decided no ordinary LBD would do it justice, and slipped into a sequined naked dress iteration.

There are, of course, a few style codes that come with gracing the opera with your presence. And while Lipa made sure to reference the previous fashion of the Gilded Age attendees, she kept the look modern by opting for a dress from Maximilian Davis’s Ferragamo spring/summer 2027 collection.
Held together by two delicate spaghetti straps, the black bandeau of the dress transformed into sheer chiffon that fell down the body in a romantic assortment of gold, crystals, and icy blue sequins. An It-girl touch came courtesy of a thigh-high slit in the skirt and a trailing dramatic train.

Instead of adding a pair of more traditional opera gloves, Lipa’s dress featured detached sleeves that mimicked the same effect. Just like the bandeau, the sleeves were constructed of the same sequined chiffon.
She topped off the glittering cascading look with a pair of black satin slides, also from the Italian house. She wore her hair into a slicked-back ponytail with a deep side part.

The Eternity actor, on the other hand, kept his apparel considerably more classic. Turner followed his wife’s lead and opted for a black single-breasted suit.
He wore a white button-down underneath that peeked out from above his polished jacket and topped it off with black Oxford shoes.
