The Bold and the Beautiful's Steffy and Carter have really done it now. And what we mean by it is the big deed. That soap opera move that invariably leaves two characters hiding in secret offices, having secret arguments and one character pregnant, needing a paternity test. Steffy's other two pregnancies came with the obligatory paternity test, so why not a third, right?
Now, obviously choosing to do what Steffy and Carter did was Steffy and Carter's fault and choice, but would Steffy and Carter have cheated if two other characters hadn't thrown the sanctity of marriage to the wind a few months ago? Right, we didn't think so. And that's why we'll start there. With Taylor and Deacon doing what they did.
"Your Mother is With Her Husband"

Perhaps Finn summed it up best on the beach in Monaco when Steffy had her conniption fit and tossed her rings in the sand. Sheila is lonely and wants to feel a part of something and have family around her. And Sheila was not lonely and minding her own business when Taylor decided that Deacon and Sheila's marriage didn't mean anything as she helped herself to Sheila's husband, who also happened to be her patient.
The amount of wrong in what Taylor did is pretty steep. What makes it almost worse than what Deacon did was that she was Deacon's psychiatrist when he came to her about problems in his marriage. Taylor doesn't even seem to want a long-term commitment. She turned down Deacon's proposal and when he asked why he divorced Sheila if she didn't want to wed, Taylor told him it was so she didn't have to date a married man.
Well, we could have made this easy on everyone. Taylor didn't have to date a married man and that man could have stayed married and Sheila would have stayed out of Monaco. And if Sheila had just stayed out of Monaco, Steffy and Carter would not have had sex on Eric's office couch. So, yeah, blame it on Deacon and Taylor, but also blame it on...
Really, Steffy?

Ooops, Steffy did it again | Image: JPI
Liam kissed Sally when they thought they were going to die under Bill's building? Well, Bill was looking mighty fine that night. And a tiff with Finn while dating a few years later? Well, it was a good thing that Liam popped in. And it was a good thing that Carter was drunk in Eric's office when Drunk Steffy stumbled in and cried, "Me, me, me," and then the obligatory, "What have I done?" by the next morning.
And let's talk about Carter for a hot minute. Is this the third woman he has had sex with in the last year? Hope, Daphne, and now Steffy? Really, Carter?
Let's not forget about when Finn stood there in the living room practically in tears, begging Steffy to please forgive him for taking a flight with Sheila and then not telling her so as not to upset her. Oh the horrors! How could Steffy ever show grace for such a heinous act!?!?!? And what did Steffy do as Finn begged his adulterous wife to take him back? She made him feel more guilty by telling him how wrong he was, without mentioning that she had done a bad, bad (decidedly worse) thing.

Cause that's our Steffy. She wants to tell the truth. Carter does not. So, they had better hope the cleaning crew member we have named Michael doesn't mention the locked door to Eric's office.
So, What Now?

TWO Steffy-Carter babies? | Image: JPI
Daphne wants a baby. Steffy always gets a baby whenever she cheats. Steffy already offered her eggs to Daphne. Are we getting two possible Steffy-Carter babies? We don't think that egg line was for nothing when Steffy mentioned that she had some on ice. Will Bold really go there? Um, we think so... (And this is JUST a theory.)
Electric Youth?

Electra is back to being Electra | Image: CBS
Now that Monaco is over and we have a whole new cheating storyline to deal with, it's time to return to the younger generation and Forrester's latest youth line. (Because apparently 20-something adults are the new youth.) Electra couldn't possibly model. She has never posed for anything but a selfie. Oh, but she is so perfect and precious, according to RJ, that she can do anything.
Apparently, that anything includes announcing that her last name could get Dylan fired, if she so chose. So, now the rich girl who wanted to throw a homeless girl out onto the street wants to take away her source of income and we are supposed to sympathize with her, why?
Granted, Dylan's odd outfit was not the stuff of a fancy fashion house, but Steffy walked around in a nightgown and a raincoat for two weeks and nobody cared, so Dylan's outfit was not enough to get her fired. And neither was her choice to talk to Will all night on his couch. And that is reason number two billion and one why Electra is just not a character to like.
Put a Sock in It, Katie

Will needs to stop defending himself | Image: CBS
We see Katie is done crying over her mean girl sisters, so she has now been relegated to meddling mom whose only purpose is to check in on her Gen Z bachelor son in his beach house every so often and meddle in his love life. She stayed out of his love life for so long; she has no real idea how horrible Electra really is, so maybe she should be a fly on the wall at Electra's next meltdown because we all know there will be one.
And Dylan? She's a bit of a minx, but if she's a minx who can put Electra in her place and has a mamma named Darcy to help, well, bring on the popcorn and let some proper games begin...
Should Taylor apologize to Sheila? Should Electra be brought down a peg or two? Sound off in the comments.
