Ayo Edebiri doesn’t need a color analysis to know that red is one of her strongest hues. Remember when she made her Venice Film Festival debut last summer and matched the scarlet carpet in a striking red wrap dress from Chanel? She’s also worn red to the Golden Globes, the Emmys, and her own film premieres. So, it goes without saying that even when Edebiri’s outfits only include a small pop of the color, it still does the trick quite nicely.

Earlier this week, The Bear star turned to her trusty rouge once again, as she stopped by Late Night With Seth Meyers to discuss her new Broadway show, Proof. On set, Edebiri also turned to one of her trusted designers—Matthieu Blazy—for a business-casual look that was transformed thanks to a fuzzy pop of red.

With the help of her stylist, Danielle Goldberg, Edebiri stepped out in a few different pieces from the Chanel arsenal. First, she wore a white long-sleeve tuxedo shirt—pulled from the Spring/Summer 2026 ready-to-wear collection—as a dress. The crisp button-up was made using the savoir-faire of French shirtmaker Charvet, and it featured the Chanel name embroidered on the front, along with pearl buttons at the cuffs and neckline, and silver chains outlining the split hems on the sides.

For a playful spin, the top was layered underneath a bright-red boa, which was pulled from another one of Blazy’s collections for the French fashion house—the Pre-Fall 2026 Métiers d’art line. This furry vermillion shrug engulfed Edebiri and acted as the most statement-making transitional weather touch. And of course, it looked fabulous on her—because, when doesn’t she look good in red?

Finally, the actor completed her fun look with black sheer tights and inky patent-leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi, while her cropped ’do hung down in soft waves, slightly concealing her diamond stud earrings.

The next time I’m thinking about grabbing one of my light jackets or cardigans, I might just reach for a boa instead.
