Celebrities are often frequent travelers, and some stars have shared their wild habits when heading to a new destination.
From minimalist packers to superstitious flyers, many celebrities have been open about developing travel rituals that are uniquely their own.
In an August 2025 interview with Crocs, Millie Bobby Brown shared her travel necessities, which include her humidifier and fluffy socks. When asked about her biggest “travel pet peeve,” the Stranger Things star shared one of her husband Jake Bongiovi’s vacation habits: not packing clothes.
“We’ll leave and I’ll have a big suitcase and he has nothing with him, just his phone. Never really a charger, just steals mine, and then takes his computer and goes, ‘Mill, I don’t have any clothes,’ ” she said.
Below, here are seven wild celebrity vacation habits.

Megan Fox has been open about her fear of flying — and the one thing that has helped her stay calm when faced with plane turbulence.
“Even if you hit turbulence and you’re like, ‘I don’t like how this feels,’ I would throw on certain music that I just knew I wasn’t gonna die to,” she said during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show in May 2021, via Entertainment Tonight. “For me, that was Britney Spears, like, the archives. The Oops album.”
After singing a line from Spears’ hit “I’m Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman,” Fox said that she knows the song is not “the soundtrack to my death.”
“That always made me feel better. You’re not gonna meet God on an, ‘Oh baby, baby’ and then you’re dead and know all the mysteries to the universe,” she said.

During a February 2022 interview on the I’ve Got News For You podcast, Heidi Klum confirmed a rumor that she used to carry a bag of her baby teeth with her at all times.
“Basically all of my teeth that I’ve lost, my mum kept them,” she said, adding that the pouch full of her teeth became somewhat of a good luck charm while traveling solo.
“When I was young and I was travelling everywhere and I was always by myself, because when you’re a model you go from one job to the next so it’s just your suitcase and your little handbag and that’s it and then you hop around all on your own. For me, this was kind of like my good luck charm,” she said. “I don’t know why, it’s just something that I did.”
The model noted that she no longer has this habit, calling it a “weird, random thing” of her past. “I was young and did weird things like that, I guess,” she said.

Love Is Blindhost Nick Lachey can’t settle into a hotel room until the furniture is perfectly aligned.
“If the TV isn’t matched to the bed, he’ll move either the dresser with the TV, or if the TV’s mounted in the wall, then he’ll move the bed,” his wife Vanessa Lachey told E! News in October 2022.
Nick explained why he feels the need to move things around, noting that it “drives him crazy” if the dresser isn’t “perfectly” parallel to the wall.

In a March 2016 interview with The New York Times, Gwyneth Paltrow shared that she has a regular routine when she takes a flight — one that keeps her focused on not catching any sicknesses on board.
“I drink tons of water, and I have a vitamin sachet that I put in it,” she said. The actress also takes care of herself by moisturizing her skin, putting on a face mask and packing salad and fruit instead of “[eating] rubbish.”
“If I’m going on an overnight flight, I’ll drink whiskey or a glass of wine and then go to sleep, but on day flights, I try not to drink,” she said.
The Marty Supreme star’s routine also continues once the plane touches down.
“When I land, I try to find a sauna to sit in for 20 minutes to help me sweat out all the germs from the plane,” Paltrow said.

Food Network star Alton Brown told Condé Nast Traveler in July 2012 that he does “freaky things” while traveling.
“I travel with an espresso maker, an electric kettle, and a small blender. And typically, a tin can of sardines,” he said. “I have a little portable electric kettle made by Krups for boiling water, and I have this funky little blender called a Ninja because I eat a lot of smoothies and I never want to be a victim of bad road food. And so I have this little bag that carry these three things with me almost everywhere I go.”
If he had to choose just one, Brown would pack the electric kettle because it can serve multiple purposes.
“You can make tea, drip coffee, oatmeal,” he said, adding, “if you’re just somewhere where you need to hot water to shave, the electric kettle is really great. And you can carry your socks in it when you’re not using it.”
