John Fogerty is honoring the legacy left behind by the one and only, Elvis Presley.

In a new Instagram post to recap a recent trip to Las Vegas, the Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman shared photos taken inside the famous Westgate Las Vegas, previously known as the International Hotel, which served as the venue for Elvis' iconic 8-year Vegas residency.

Fogerty, 80, was photographed while visiting a number of iconic spots throughout the hotel, including the famous stage where Elvis performed over 600 sold-out shows from 1969 to 1976. The "Fortunate Sun" rocker also got to see Elvis' dressing room at the venue, as well as the "actual spot" where the King of Rock and Roll would stand right before heading out on stage.

Sharing an Instagram carousel of different photos taken throughout the historic venue, Fogerty wrote, "Visited a special place today—the stage where Elvis played."

"This is the actual spot Elvis stood before hitting stage in Vegas and his dressing room," Fogerty wrote. "Standing here on this stage I can’t help but imagine what it was like to see him here."

Calling Elvis one of his "musical heroes," Fogerty also relished in the fact that Elvis performed a cover of his song "Proud Mary" on the same stage. Fogerty wrote "Proud Mary" for Creedence Clearwater Revival's 1969 album Bayou Country, and it was later covered by a number of other music superstars like Elvis and Tina Turner.

"It even makes it more special knowing he performed my song Proud Mary on this very spot," Fogerty added in his caption. "Celebrating Legacy!"
