While some celebrities are relatively short, others tower over their costars, collaborators and teammates.
Euphoria star Jacob Elordi, for example, is 6 feet, 5 inches. In December 2021, he told Men’s Healththat throughout his career, he and his castmates have had to make adjustments to deal with their height differences.
“The trick is they just always cast me with girls who are 5-foot-2,” he said. “Everyone’s like, ‘You’re so big!’ Yeah, but they’re also not big, not even average-sized women. They’re quite small.”
Elordi isn’t the only celebrity whose height has influenced his career.

In 2023, Elordi told WMagazine that he’s gotten pretty good at shooting scenes with his shorter costars.
“I’m excellent at finding ways to lean. It’s a skill I’ve perfected throughout my career,” he said. “I’m always leaning.”
Two years prior, Elordi told Men’s Health that as a teenager, he was dropped as a model for being too tall. “I’m very grateful. I truly think I would’ve been miserable if I had to do that,” he told the outlet.

Two-time Golden Globe nominee Lee Pace is 6 feet, 5 inches. The actor is known for his roles in shows like Foundation and movies like Practical Magic 2.
In July 2023, he spoke to Interview Magazine about life as a tall person. “I run into things all the time. I probably hit my head once a day. That’s the part of being tall that people don’t talk about,” he said.

Best recognized for starring as M’Baku in Black Panther, Winston Duke stands tall at 6 feet, 5 inches.
In March 2019, his Marvel costar Lupita Nyong’o recalled meeting him for the first time and noting his height.
“He was extremely tall, and he has quite the presence,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “But he was also very internal and pensive.”

SNL cast member Ben Marshall is 6 feet, 5 inches, and he was able to utilize his height alongside Sabrina Carpenter in their viral Tall, Plain Boyfriend sketch.
Despite his height, he recalled that Jason Momoa, who made a cameo in the Heated Wizardry sketch, was able to pick him up backstage.
“Right after it aired, I saw him in the hallway, and he picked me up and bounced me around like a baby,” Marshall said during a February 2026 appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers. “And I’m a 6-foot-5-inch man.”

“If it’s any consolation, I didn’t work at it,” he joked to the outlet in June 2023.

Starring as Greg Hirsch in Succession earned Nicholas Braun three Emmy nominations, but the 6-foot-5-inch actor says his height has cost him parts in the past.

“I’ve lost a lot of roles because of my height, because it’s hard to photograph people,” he said on Popcorn With Peter Travers in September 2019, per Good Morning America. “Or they don’t want to put the lead actresses on apple boxes, which I understand.”

In January 2021, he recalled to The Guardianthat his father told him not to be an actor because “you’re too damn tall.”
Cromwell persevered, however, and even went on to win an Oscar nomination for his role in Babe and three Emmy nominations for his role as Ewan Roy in Succession.

Brian Posehn is best known for his role as geologist Bert Kibbler in The Big Bang Theory. The 6-foot-7 actor told Sactown Magazine in the fall of 2022 that both his parents are also tall, and they used to run a tall person social club called the Golden Gate Tip Toppers.
“I had short friends in high school who would come over to my house when there were tall club meetings and they would tell me it was the most surreal thing they’d ever seen in their lives,” he said.

Comedian and Everybody Loves Raymond star Brad Garrett is 6 feet, 8 inches. In July 2007, the Emmy winner told the Tahoe Daily Tribune that his height is actually what got him into comedy.
“I was a big kid, so I always stuck out,” he said. “Making people laugh was my defense mechanism; I figured that I would get the joke out before they could make fun of me.”

Standing tall at 6-foot-9, Connecticut Sun star Brittney Griner is taller than many players in the NBA, where the average height in 6 feet, 7 inches, according to Sports Illustrated.
“I definitely get stares,” she told ESPN in July 2015. “I think my feet are bigger than Kareem [Abdul-Jabbar]’s. They are size 17 men’s. My hands are even bigger than LeBron [James’]. I could palm a basketball since I was a freshman in high school.”
But Griner also admitted it can be overwhelming. “Just walking around, it’s kind of like being on display at a museum, like being on display 24/7.”

She is a former basketball player who competed in the 2008 Olympics and helped Russia win a bronze medal in women’s basketball.

In March 2007, Maillet credited his size and wrestling experience for prepping him for Hollywood.
“They wanted to look for someone who’d be a giant, a giant guy who could do his own stunts,” he told CBC about landing his role in 300.
